Utagawa Hiroshige One Hundred Famous Views of Edo: Sudden Shower over Shin-Ōhashi Bridge and Atake A masterpiece by Utagawa Hiroshige, a leading ukiyo-e artist of Edo, beautifully depicting a rainy scene. This is a vivid print that captures people hurrying across the Great Bridge amidst a sudden downpour. This work is also known for strongly influencing Vincent van Gogh, who personally copied and reinterpreted it. It is a representative masterpiece of Japanese ukiyo-e that has influenced global masters.
